Gazette Gal

At the beginning of the season, we dove deeper into some of our favorite jewelry trends of the season. All these trends and our stand out pieces had a common thread—statement pieces and a maximalist aesthetic.

What is Maximalist Jewelry?

Maximalism abides by the philosophy that more is more. When you think of this in terms of jewelry, think bold colors, shapes, and patterns. You want these accessories to make a statement by breaking free from the regular fashion rules. Even if you’re using colors and patterns that would clash, they’re styled in a way where they compliment each other and seem intentional.

Maximalist style is all about making statements, which means it's the perfect form of self-expression in your outfits. This can be from just wearing more accessories or finding ones that are bold enough to wear alone, we’ve found some of our favorite styles and pieces to accessorize with this season.

Necklaces

Maximalist necklaces are a great way to elevate a simple outfit to the next level. These necklaces can add a pop of color, dress up an outfit, or just make it look even cooler. I love to add a statement chunky necklace when I am going out to dinner to pull my outfit together.

Earrings

Statement earrings are my favorite type of maximalist jewelry. Earrings can add a great deal of personality to an outfit. My favorite type is dangly earrings that add an extra layer to my look.

Rings

Maximalist rings are incredibly trendy right now, ranging from chunky designs to vibrant and fun shapes. Rings are a great way to accessorize, especially when stacking different ones. My favorite way to have fun with my rings is to wear both silver and gold at once.
